LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The La Crosse Compassion Project has expanded to Russia. 50 of the 6,000 pieces of art work that depict compassion were created by Russian students in La Crosse's sister city of Dubna.
On Saturday, Russian delegates visited the artwork at the Pump House. They will return home with the hopes of replicating the Compassion Project in Dubna.
Natalya Pechkina said, "We are so grateful we can take part in and see this project we find it very useful for both adults and children." She added "It's like a piece of our home here, in our sister city La Crosse."
The delegates are a group of Russian health care providers who are in La Crosse for a week learning about improving cancer care.
