Logan seniors reach 'new heights,' new member added to 'Wall of Fame'

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - "To New Heights" is the theme for Logan High School's 2014 graduating class.

More than 200 seniors reached those heights as they walked across the stage at the La Crosse Center Saturday night to get their diplomas.

During the graduation ceremony, a new member was inducted into Logan's Wall of Fame.

Ronald Cotton grew up on the north side of La Crosse where he graduated from Logan in 1951.

He joined the Navy and served on three different destroyers as an electrician. When he left service, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering under the G.I. Bill.

Cotton worked on the Apollo Launch Control Team for NASA and said even though he received a Silver Snoopy Award for his work at NASA, being inducted into the Wall of Fame is more personal.

About a dozen other alumni from the class of 1951 attended to show their support.

The Wall of Fame started in 1985, to honor Logan alumni, past faculty, and friends of the school for their outstanding service and achievements.
