Child injured after getting run over by float at Arcadia Broiler Days parade
ARCADIA, Wis. (WXOW) - A child is injured during the Broiler Days parade in Arcadia over the weekend.
According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, nine-year-old Joshua Paulson was handing out candy during the parade on Saturday. As he tried to climb back on the float he'd been riding on, he slipped and fell under the trailer. The tandem axle trailer then ran over the child.
Although he was airlifted to a local hospital, he was treated and later released.
The release states the boy was lucky-his injuries could have been much worse.
The Arcadia Police Department, Arcadia Ambulance, and Arcadia First Responders assisted with the treatment of the child.
