La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
Ron Kind made a stop in La Crosse to observe the local Veteran Affairs building. With recent findings in other states of fake waiting lists and cutting corners, Ron Kind is on a mission to make sure that is not happening in Wisconsin.
He visited the La Crosse and Tomah's VA buildings meeting with the staffs and the veterans who go to them. He had a team investigate each local VA, and both La Crosse and Tomah were found to be handling veterans well and in a timely manner. He also mentioned that the veterans and staff were happy and that morale is high.
Right now Ron Kind is pushing for a Blue Ribbon Commission to be created that would monitor Veteran Affairs so that veterans would be able to get the help they need.
