WISCONSIN RAPIDS (WAOW) -- The Northwoods League baseball season is upon us once again and the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters got the privilege of opening their season at home Tuesday night.
New manager Ruben Noriega and the Rafters faced the Kenosha Kingfish at Witter Field.
In the top of the second, the pride of the UWSP Pointers Kyle McHugh, made a diving play at first base for the out, but that would be one of the only bright spots for Rapids.
In the top of the third, Kenosha's Zach Ratcliff tees off and sends it to deep center field for a two-run homer. That would make it 4-0 Kingfish.
The Rafters get roughed up in their opener, losing to Kenosha 14-0 to start off the season.
