Small fire causes evacuation at La Crosse YMCA

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – The La Crosse Fire Department is investigating a fire at the YMCA in La Crosse.

A small fire was discovered in a bathroom in the building around 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.

Although an employee was able to put the fire out before firefighters arrived, the building on West Avenue was evacuated for safety reasons.

No one injured and only minor damage was reported.

Investigators from the department are looking into the cause.
