GREEN BAY, Wis. (WXOW) The Packers are in their first week of organized team activities, a fancy name for practice in shorts and helmets.
On Thursday they unveiled those who will compete for roster spots next season to the public for the first time.
Rookies and veterans are practicing together for the first time this week. While the key core players from last year's NFC North title team are back, the fact that they're welcoming back so many players who were hurt last year has given the team sort of a new look.
"This team has a different vibe. Every team has a different level of work ethic. I want to say this is an experienced team compared to some our prior teams just because we've had more players that have been around each other more and clearly understand the expectations," head coach Mike McCarthy said after practice Thursday.
The OTA's are phase 3 of the teams off-season program, according to McCarthy.
