Vernon County (WXOW) Heavy rain Sunday afternoon caused flash flooding in portions of Vernon County. A viewer posted this video to the WXOW Facebook page. As you can see, flood waters from the North Fork of the Bad Axe River covered a portion of Natwick Road. News 19 Meteorologist Alex Kirchner says this video is a reminder not to drive in flood water. Kirchner says flood waters move quickly and can easily sweep a vehicle off the road. Remember: turn around don't drown. More than three inches of rain fell in Vernon County Sunday. Flood waters have since receded. There are no flash flood watches or warning in effect.
