CASHTON, Wis. (WXOW) - News 19’s Alex Kirchner and Madeline Sky spent the afternoon at Cashton Community Hall for Weather Academy.
Students learned about the weather through a lively presentation that included weather experiments like using air pressure to crush a can and making a bubble using dry ice.
One of the experiments that really caught the kids’ attention used household materials to make a cloud in a jar.
“My favorite, favorite would have to be the cloud in a jar. That one was my favorite, favorite,” said Darci Erickson, a student who attended Weather Academy. “Because it’s easy for me to do it when I’m at home and because I’ve never really seen anybody make a cloud before.”
The next weather academy will be in Black River Falls later this summer.
