(WXOW) -- La Crosse Arts Board Chair Donald Smith stopped by Daybreak to discuss the mural being installed on the Pump House wall and how it will showcase a "confluence" of the area.
The mural will be unveiled to the public on June 13th as part of the first annual ARTSPIRE event celebrating the city's Arts District. Internationally-renowned muralist John Pugh is currently in the process of installing the trompe l'oeil work of art on the building's West wall. Smith said the three-dimensional style of the art is meant to draw the viewer's eye, just as the mural will hopefully draw more people to the Arts District.
ARTSPIRE will celebrate all forms of art on June 13th and 14th in the area surrounding the Pump House. WXOW is a proud sponsor of this event.
