Traffic tie-ups expected for track meet

Posted:
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Drivers heading near UW-L Friday and Saturday morning should expect to have plenty of company on the streets.

The WIAA State Track Meet begins Friday morning around 8:30 a.m.

With teams and fans all headed to the university, it can lead to a bit of gridlock.

La Crosse Police, UW-L Campus Police, and WIAA volunteers will be on hand to direct traffic.

The two entrances for paid parking at UW-L are East Avenue and Pine Street.

If you're not attending the track meet, you may want to avoid La Crosse Street and Campbell Road for the next two days.
