Holmen's Kendall chosen by Red Sox in MLB Draft

HOLMEN, Wis. (WXOW)   College isn't the only option for Holmen baseball star Jeren Kendall.
He can play professionally now, if he chooses.
Kendall was picked by the Boston Red Sox in the 30th round of the MLB Amateur Draft Saturday.
Kendall was the ranked the 88th best prospect by Baseball America going into the draft, so the fact that he was picked in the 30th round is a bit of a surprise.
But, Kendall does have a scholarship to play at Vanderbilt and that may have weighed on the minds of teams.
Kendall is hitting .521 this season for the Vikings and has a slugging percentage of 1.000.
He also has excellent speed and is an outstanding fielder as well.
