Dairy Breakfast shows community where food comes from
GENOA, Wis. (WXOW) - Vernon County dairy farmers came together today to continue an annual tradition.
The Nickelotti family hosted the Vernon County Dairy Breakfast Saturday morning in rural Genoa.
They welcomed the public for pancakes, eggs and milk.
The Nickelotti family said it's a great way to introduce people to where their food came from.
"I think more and more people are starting to care about where their food comes from," said Alexis Nickelotti who helped set up the breakfast. "I think it's important that agriculture becomes more transparent. When it's more transparent... then consumers are able to believe that their food is safe and it's raised responsibly."
There was also a petting zoo, live music and antique tractors on site.
