Tough playoff road has Arcadia softball battle-tested

ARCADIA, Wisconsin (WXOW) Softball is next for the WIAA spring sports main stage.
The state tournament starts Thursday  in Madison.
Arcadia will have to wait until Friday to have their moment.
That's when the undefeated Raiders will take on Grantsburg in a division 3 semifinal.
It's been an intense post-season run for the state's top-ranked team.
All 4 of their playoff games have been nail-biters.
Three of their wins have come by one run.
So to say Arcadia is battle-tested is an understatement.
"With all the pressure that goes along with State, those tight games are going to help us composed and we'll be able to push through when we need it the most," said senior pitcher Taylor Haines.
"I feel that we've been put in positions that we'll be able to deal with then.   Because of the closeness of the game we'll know how to deal with it there.  So it won't be anything new or surprising to us," said senior shortstop Alyssa Pronschinske.

"We are super excited.  All of us seniors are three-sport athletes and it's our first trip to State.  We're just super excited," said senior Michaela Brueggen.

It's Arcadia's first trip to State since 2010.
They'll meet Grantsburg at about 3:30 PM at Goodman Diamond in Madison.
