Iverson to resign from La Crosse Police Dept. in November

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - La Crosse Police Sergeant Alan Iverson will resign from the department on November 8, according to the City of La Crosse Human Resources department.

Police arrested Iverson in February after he threatened to kill his wife and family.

Iverson's resignation is part of a diversion agreement he had to sign with the City of La Crosse.

Also part of the deal, Iverson had to plea no contest to disorderly conduct.  A charge of threats to injure was dismissed.

Iverson is on paid administrative leave until November.
