GREEN BAY, Wis. (WXOW) The NBA Draft is in two weeks. And there's no doubt the anticipation is growing for Winona native Alec Brown.
The former UW-Green Bay forward is continuing his nationwide tour working out for NBA teams coast to coast. On Wednesday, he was in Salt Lake City to meet with the Jazz.
But before he left, the busy Brown worked out with UW-GB head coach Brian Wardle on Green Bay's campus. The 7-foot 1-inch Brown is looking to become the 6th UW-Green Bay player to be drafted and the first since Jeff Nordgaard was selected by the Bucks in the 2nd round 18 years ago.
"It's a huge honor, for sure. The players who have made it out of Green Bay have been great players. They did a lot for the program and if I could add to that, that would be awesome. It's weird because coming here from Winona, Minnesota it was always a dream for me back then. To have it be a reality right now is pretty exciting," Brown said.
