Summer Concert Series "Moontunes" kicks off

LA CROSSE, Wis (WXOW) ---- The first in a series of concerts put on by the Valley Rotary Club as part of the Moon Tunes Series kicked off Thursday night.

Bill Miller, a La Crosse favorite, debuted the concert series. Miller is a three-time Grammy Award Winner.

The event formerly known as Noon Tunes, a Thursday afternoon concert usually enjoyed on a lunch break is now a two-and-a-half hour concert under the stars.

Organizers say it's been three years in the making and will attract residents as well as visitors to the area.

The concerts are most Thursdays throughout the summer from 5:30 p.m. To 8:00 p.m.
