Wisconsin Regional Art Program Opens Spring Exhibit

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - The University of Wisconsin La Crosse's Center for the Arts Gallery is filled with water colors, sculptures, oil paintings, and more.  All of the work is from local artists.

The Wisconsin Regional Art Program's spring gallery opened Friday morning.  The show features work from non-professional artists from the local area.  The exhibition is a collaboration between UW-L and the Wisconsin Regional Art Program.  UW-L hung the paintings and lit the gallery, while the Wisconsin Regional Art Program reached out to artists.  The art will be on display until June 21 and admission is free to the public.

The guest juror for the exhibition is professor Diana Budde from UW-Marathon County.  Awards will be presented from 1-3 PM June 21.  Winners from the exhibition will be shown in Madison later this year.
