67th Annual Winona Steamboat Days winds down with Grande Parade

WINONA, Minn. (FOX 47)-- A few afternoon rain showers didn't stop crowds from descending on Winona for the grand finale of the 67th Annual Winona Steamboat Days celebration.

From a traditional Caledonian Pipe Band to groups of skilled motorcycle riders, the Grande Parade featured a variety of performers, entertainers, and organizations to dazzle every age group.

On-lookers were also treated to the music of several different high school marching bands.

Parade organizers said Winona Steamboat Days is a special time because the festival showcases the rich history of the region.

"Steamboat Days has been around since the early 1950's and it has been our community celebration to celebrate our heritage," said Parade Judge Chairman Tom Slaggie.

The annual community celebration also featured a carnival, kiddie parade, fireworks, car show, and craft fair.
