Dairyland Tractor Pull Brings Visitors to Tomah

TOMAH, Wis. (WXOW) - The 39th Annual Budweiser Dairyland Super National Truck and Tractor Pull opens Thursday night in Tomah.

Drivers come from all over the world to compete for more than $200,000 in prizes.  Drivers use powerful, custom-built tractors, and have support teams to help with the intricate engineering of each vehicle.

On Thursday, crews were busy preparing the track for the competition.  There will be shows Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.  The event will also feature a "Salute the Military" Parade, Kids' Club, and flea market.

The pull is sanctioned by the National Tractor Pullers Association and is part of their larger competition series.  More than 75,000 people are expected to attend the event.
