Skydiving Event for cancer research

Posted:
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) ---- Some of Alana Wilson's best memories are jumping out of an airplane.

"You are gonna feel alive. It's life changing. It's empowering," said Alana.

She believes her best days are ahead of her but that wasn't always the case. Soon after her dad died she admits to just going through the motions until she went skydiving. "It's so freeing. When I jump, I'm not thinking about all the stresses in my life."

Alana started a charity, "Jumps for Hope" in her father's honor to help raise money for cancer research.

The jumps are at 8:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Saturday at the Rushford Municipal Airport. Times are dependent on weather.
