La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) -The La Crosse County Board of Supervisors met to discuss and vote on two major property projects.

The first was supervisors approving the selling of the Lakeview Health Center in West Salem. The building is going through a transition right now where disabled and patients that require specialized long term care are being moved to a new Lakeview location better suited for their needs.

The board also approved the purchase agreement of Associated Bank on State Street to potentially become the new County Administration Center.  The cost of the plan is $19 million.

The old administration building has structural flaws and asbestos that would require tax payers to pay for the clean up at a cost much higher than relocating. Supporters say relocating to the Associated Bank building is more fiscally responsible.
