LA CROSSE/MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WXOW) - Area baseball fans packed onto buses early Wednesday morning for an annual ritual-La Crosse Area Day at Miller Park.
Besides the bus ride, there's always a big tailgate party to greet the fans when they arrive at the ballpark. There was plenty of food, music, and raffles for the group.
Once inside, they got to see La Crosse Mayor Tim Kabat throw out the ceremonial first pitch just before the game got underway.
The best part of the day was the game. Scooter Gennett had a grand slam and five RBIs for the Brewers as they trounced the Washington Nationals 9-2.
