WILLMAR, Minnesota (WXOW) The La Crosse Loggers fell to Willmar for a second night in a row and, as a result, they fall out of a first place tie with Lakeshore.
The Loggers could muster only 6 hits in their 3-2 loss Wednesday night.
They had two runners on in the 9th inning but could not score.
Adam Cline tossed 5 and a third innings, giving up 3 runs.
Holmen graduate Ben Cejka pitched one scoreless inning in relief.
La Crosse is now 19-10 on the season while Lakeshore improved to 20-9 with their win over Battle Creek.
So the Loggers trail the Chinook by one game with five games left in the first half of the season.
