La Crescent Fire Department buries one of their own

 LA CRESCENT, Min. (WXOW) - The La Crescent Fire Department buried one of their own Saturday. Terry Niebeling, 58, died Monday after going into cardiac arrest last Saturday while riding a motocross bike.

More than a dozen area fire departments attended the funeral at United Methodist Church in La Crescent, including Onalaska, Farmington, French Island, Brownsville, Rushford and other area departments.

Niebeling had been a La Crescent firefighter for 15 years.  He was serving as the Deputy Fire Marshall. Niebeling lived in La Crescent his entire life.

Niebeling is survived by his wife and seven children.  This is the first time that an active firefighter has died in the City of La Crescent.
