Xcel crews come from across state to restore power

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - By midnight Saturday, about 7,300 people were without power, according to Xcel Energy.

By 11 p.m. Sunday, power should be restored to all residents.

As spokesperson for Xcel said they've called in additional crews throughout Wisconsin and the Twin Cities area to assist with the damage.

"It's a good feeling to get them back in, but that's part of our job -- that we are required to work on emergencies and it's also satisfying to know you can help people," said Warren Tolbert, a Xcel Energy foreman from St. Paul.

Tolbert said he got called at 5:30 Sunday morning to come to La Crosse. He was out restoring power lines all day.
