Salute to the Fourth Fireworks show will not be rescheduled
ONALASKA, WIS. – (WXOW) – After severe weather forced the Festival Foods Salute to the Fourth Fireworks show to be canceled on both Saturday and Sunday evening, organizers have decided that they will not reschedule the show this year. Instead, Festival Foods plans to have a show that is twice as big in 2015. That show is tentatively set for Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Onalaska High School Soccer Fields.
“We are disappointed that severe weather forced us to cancel this year’s event, but the safety of our community was our main priority,” says Police Chief, Jeff Trotnic. “Unfortunately Mother Nature won this year, but we are hopeful that next year we will be able to impress the crowd with a show that is twice the size!” says Festival Foods Public Relations Specialist, Kelly Poppele.
This year marked the 24th year of the Festival Foods Salute to the Fourth event.
