VERONA, Wisconsin (WXOW) The off season is also the special appearance season for football players.
Jared Abbrederis took part in a Badgers Legends golf outing earlier this week, taking a brief summer break before Packers training camp begins in about a month.
That's when the fifth-rounder will need to make some plays to earn his way onto the field.
That concept is nothing new for the former University of Wisconsin walk-on turned Badgers legend.
"I'm not really trying to look at who's here and who's there. I'm just trying to do my best and make plays and try to make them keep me on the field. I just have to be consistent, make plays and really understand the offense and it's a big offense. It might take a little bit but I just have to keep improving every day," Abbrederis said.
The Packers hold their first training camp practice Saturday, July 26th.
