Loggers open 2nd half with a bang


 LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)  The La Crosse Loggers opened the second half of the regular season with a convincing 7-0 win over Green Bay at The Lumberyard.

Ryne Birk and Ryan Kirby each had a home run.

Mike Nadratowski went 3 for 5 to lead a 15-hit attack for the Loggers.

On the mound, Ty Provencher was sensational.

Provencher pitched 6 shutout innings while giving up just two hits and striking out four.

The Loggers are now 22-14 overall and 1-0 in the second half.
