LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) – Riverfest wrapped up last night, as vendors, volunteers, and Riverfest employees were busy cleaning up Riverside Park early Sunday morning.
Riverfest was unable to comment on whether business was up or down from last summer. Even though Riverfest had to cancel some of their water shows because of the high waters, the great weekend still drew “wonderful” crowds.
“You know, we have had to cancel water events before for that reason. It's nothing new to us, I mean we just kind of continue. We don't really adjust to compensate for it, just because it is late planning at that point,” Riverfest President Nick Bjerke said.
Bjerke said Riverfest is still waiting on final counts from all their vendors, and the numbers are “still up in the air”. Bjerke said Riverfest is “looking forward” to tallying up the final numbers.
