LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) The Loggers are off to a 4-2 start to the 2nd half of the season.
But now comes their most crucial stretch of the season.
They will play 12 of their next 18 on the road.
It starts Tuesday night in Kenosha.
The Loggers will play two there and then they will head to Lakeshore for a pair.
La Crosse broke out the heavy lumber in last night's 14-2 win over Battle Creek.
Now they hope they can harness some of that momentum and take it with them on the road.
"Number one, it sucks that we're leaving Copeland. I told them real men win on the road. For the most part we've been an all right road team. It's just things are little bit more hectic on the road. There's a lot of travel time, a lot of time on the bus," said manager Jason Nell.
"It's a time to get better. You have to stay together as a team and go out there and just compete," said outfielder Luke Persico.
