Smart phone and Tablet workshop helps community members
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW)- Western Technical College is holding a smart phone and tablet help workshop for the next week for beginner level users.
Students from the Emerging Technology class are hosting these workshops as part of Western's Community Education program to teach community members beginner level tips and tricks for their devices. All brands of smart phones and tablets are supported. These are free sessions that will continue for the next week.
The sessions have proven popular with the community. All sessions are filled with a maximum of 20 members per session.
Kari Reborn stated there is a dual importance for this workshop. "One is for the community members to learn something new. There is definitely a need in our community and they have expressed a lot of interest on how to figure out these devices. The other importance is for our students to practice what they have learned in the classroom."
They hope to have more sessions in the future since their was such an overwhelming response with their first week of sessions.
