RUSHFORD, Minn. (WXOW) - A company called Metz's Hart-Land Dairy in Rushford, Minnesota has produced milk since 1985 and have now decided to expand.
The family owned and operated company just finished building its own cheese facility and plan to start production within the next three weeks.
As of right now the production will be concentrated on the creation of two types of cheese, Pepper-jack and Colby. After their open house people were already requesting a variety of cheeses that the family hopes to one day meet the demand for.
As the business finds its footing it will expand to create even more dairy products including butter. The family also acquired a neighbor's honey business and have already begun production for that.
