Storms cause damage in Kenosha

Posted:
KENOSHA, Wis. (AP) -- A cluster of strong thunderstorms causes damage as it moves through southeastern Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service says one of the storms turned severe over Kenosha County around 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

The weather service says it estimates there's a 3.6 mile path of tree, roof, fence and power line damage running west to east through Kenosha, just south of Highway 50.  And it says there are radar indications that some of the damage may have been caused by a weak tornado.

The storms also dumped about 3 inches of rain at the South Milwaukee Wastewater Treatment Facility and about 1.8 inches at Kenosha and Racine.
