Two injured when teen's car crashes, lands in cornfield
TOWN OF WILTON, Wis. (WXOW) - Two teens are injured after a crash in Monroe County Saturday afternoon.
A 16-year-old was driving east on Hwy 71, east of Locust Road, when he lost control of his vehicle and went into a ditch, according to the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. His 2002 Pontiac Grand Am then followed the ditch line, hit a culvert and vaulted across a driveway into a cornfield, where it came to a stop.
The driver and his 16-year-old passenger were taken to Tomah Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
According to the Sheriff's Department, both teens were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.
