Tony (WQOW) -- The 7th annual Jim Leonhard Skills Camp wrapped up Sunday at Flambeau High School. Now the Tony native turns his attention to preparing for his next camp -- NFL training camp.
Leonhard remains a free agent as NFL teams begin camps in two weeks. The nine-year veteran says he's been in contact with a number of teams, including the Packers. Despite not having a new home yet, Leonhard says his approach to the off season is the same as any other year.
"The biggest thing in the off season for me is just getting my body back healthy and getting ready for training camp, whether I know where I'm going or not. Then I just keep my mind on football," says Leonhard. "Things like this camp help a lot, me coaching it helps me stay sharp. You know, I'm trying to play one more year and get that tenth season in. We'll see what happens. We've had a lot of great conversations and hopefully something comes out of it here soon."
