Minnesota health officials investigate 13 cases of E. Coli
ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) -- Minnesota Health officials are investigating an outbreak of E. Coli infection.
According to the state health department, seven of the thirteen people who contracted the foodborne illness reported eating at Applebee's between June 24 and 27.
Health officials say there are several cases, however, with no apparent connection to the restaurant. No cases have been reported in Rochester.
Applebee's is cooperating fully with the investigation, and as a precaution, volunteered to remove the Oriental Chicken salad from menus at all its Minnesota restaurants while the investigation continues.
Four of the thirteen people who became ill had to be hospitalized, and all have recovered
