Loggers suffer frustrating loss at Kalamazoo


 KALAMAZOO, Michigan (WXOW)  The Loggers inability to hit in the clutch came back to haunt them Thursday night in a 5-4 loss at Kalamazoo.

The Loggers left 15 runners on base while falling to 7-8 in the second half.

Kalamazoo scored four runs in the first inning but the Loggers chipped away and eventually tied with with three runs in the 5th.

The Growlers scored the lead run in the 7th before the Loggers squandered some chances.

Mike Nadratowski had a solo home run for the Loggers, his 4th of the season.

Kevin Zak had three hits and Ben Cejka pitched two shutout innings in relief.
