Tuition break for families in the Winona Catholic School System
WINONA, Minn. (KTTC) -- Families in the Winona Catholic School System will get a big break in tuition thanks to some generous donors.
School leaders said anonymous gifts are allowing dramatically reduced tuition rates by 50 percent.
The cuts will benefit families enrolled at Cotter Junior and Senior High School and Winona Area Catholic Schools. That means tuition for kindergarten students will be about $1,000 a student and tuition for students in high school will be about $3,000 per year.
In addition, all Cotter High School graduates who continue their education after high school will receive about $1,500 per year toward tuition at the college or university of their choice.
The schools said the intent of the reduced tuition is to increase enrollment at all levels of the Winona Catholic School System.
