La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - On Thursday, the Redevelopment Authority met for their monthly meeting to discuss the progress of the Riverside North Development.
The 25 acres of land that used to be the Mobil Oil site has gone through a large planning process including community feedback of what would be best for the site to benefit the city. The main issue for the development is a lack of developers interested in the land.
The Redevelopment Authority decided to add another 60 days of wait time to see if they can reach out to more developers nationally. As of the meeting, only one developer interested in the land, but the committee would prefer more for better a better variety of options.
Next month's meeting will have more updates on the progress of the developer search.
