Man dies after being pinned by a tractor in Trempealeau County
TOWN OF HALE, Wis. (AP) - A 73-year-old man has died in a tractor accident in Trempealeau County.
The sheriff's office says the man was trimming branches around a house on a tractor when the tractor overturned and pinned him Friday.
Firefighters freed the man and he was flown from the scene by Mayo helicopter, but pronounced dead.
The man's name was not immediately released. The accident happened just before 3 p.m. in the Town of Hale.
Trempealeau County (WXOW) - TheTrempealeau County Sheriff's Department says a 73 year old man is dead after being pinned beneath his tractor.
In a statement to media, authorities say the man was trimming branches around a home on his tractor when the tractor overturned and pinned the driver. He was transported by a Mayo helicopter after being extracted by fire department personnel at the scene. He was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
The man's name is not being released until the victim's family has been notified.
The incident is still under investigation.
