Meggs' walkoff snaps Loggers streak at 7

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WXOW) - Jack Meggs hit a 2-run homer in the bottom of the ninth to give the La Crosse Loggers a dramatic 6-5 win Saturday night over the Willmar Stingers, ending his team's seven-game losing streak.

The Loggers had lost their last four games at home dating back to July 7, but rallied from a 5-2 deficit late to push their season record to 29-28.

Meggs, Brandon Wessels and Kevin Zak each had two hits for La Crosse.

Jacob Dorris earned the win, pitching two scoreless innings to end the ballgame.

The same two teams meet at Copeland Park at 5:05 p.m. Sunday afternoon. La Crosse is looking to even the season series at two games apiece.
