Paul Williamson rallied from a three-shot deficit Sunday to win his sixth La Crosse County Men's Amateur Golf Championship.Williamson finished with a 36-hole score of 144, one better than Connor Frawley.
"I always play good here at Drugan's," Williamson said. "I played here a long time before I went to Cedar Creek, which is my home course now for the last 15 years. This one ties Don Iverson which is very special to me because Ivy has always been one of the better players, the best player, in our area because of being a tour professional."
The tournament is split between two courses. Saturday's opening round was played at the Golf Club at Cedar Creek. Sunday's final round was played at Drugan's Castle Mound.
Tom McClintock, the leader after the opening round, shot 76 Sunday to finish tied for third with Josh Dirks. Shawn Keenan finished three shots back to place fifth.
