Onalaska, WI (WXOW) -

Fans of all ages celebrated Barbie's 55th birthday at the Onalaska Public Library Saturday.

The group sang "Happy Birthday" for Barbie and enjoyed cookies and punch.

Participants could look at the Barbie exhibit in the Onalaska Historical Museum located in the library and check out books.

Barbie was first unveiled to the toy industry on March 9th, 1959.

Since then, Barbara Millicent Roberts has had more than 150 careers, ran for president six times and traveled to space four years before a man walked on the moon.

This year Barbie announced her newest role as an entrepreneur to celebrate women in business.
