Man flown to hospital after crash on Highway 93 in Trempealeau County

Independence, WI (WXOW) - -

A Menomonie man is injured in a car-semi crash early Wednesday morning in Trempealeau County.

According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff's Office, the crash happened on Highway 93 near Franks Lane in the Town of Burnside about 6:13 a.m.

A car driven by Brian Woodhull of Menomonie was headed south when he crossed lanes and crashed into a northbound semi driven by Daniel Furey of Wheeler.

Because of the severity of his injuries, Independence Fire and First Responders ended up having Woodhull flown by Mayo One helicopter to an Eau Claire hospital.

Furey was not injured.
