La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
The La Crosse Center may soon be seeing some major changes in the coming years.
A few months ago, the La Crosse Center board hired a group to do a preliminary study at the La Crosse Center regarding possible expansion and remodeling of the building.
In a few weeks, that group will present their study to the La Crosse Center board to see if things are going in the right direction.
La Crosse Center board chairman, Brent Smith, says its important to keep the center up to date in order to keep bringing in events and visitors. "The life of a building like this, if you don't continually keep up to date, make it more attractive for people to come here, you're going to suffer. So it is something we feel very strongly that the La Crosse Center needs to be able to attract, compete and retain the events we have here," said Smith.
After their report to the La Crosse Center board, the group will present their preliminary report to the city council on Thursday, September 11.
