La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -
Kids from around the La Crosse area converged on the field at Logan High School Wednesday to put their football skills to the test.

The NFL's Punt Pass and Kick event was hosted for the first time by the Boys and Girls Club of La Crosse along with the La Crosse Jaycees. Boys and girls from ages 6 to 15 competed in age brackets to see who could punt, pass, and kick the farthest. 170 young athletes did their best as friends and families cheered them on.

The winners advance to the regional competition and if they qualify for nationals and win they will be introduced at halftime of an NFL playoff game this season.

WXOW was also a sponsor.
