Charmant Hotel project moves forward

Posted: Updated:
La Crosse, WI (WXOW) -

La Crosse's upcoming boutique hotel plans get a few minor changes before construction begins.

A city committee gave its recommendations for the plans for the Charmant Hotel up to code as well as figuring out how to prevent potential utility problems.

Members said while the plans were sound conceptually, some details needed fixing first.

The planned 71-room Charmant Hotel will transform the 116-year-old building at 101 State Street, most recently home of Ross Furniture.

The Charmant Hotel project is the brainchild of Logistics Health founder Don Weber.

Plans call for the hotel to open sometime next summer.
