UW-L to Spend $62 Million on Three Building Projects

La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - The UW Board of Regents approved plans on August 22nd for University of Wisconsin La Crosse to spend more than $62 million on three building projects.  UW-L plans to renovate Wittich Hall, add almost 30,000 feet to the Eagle Recreation Center, and build a new residence hall.  

Construction will begin on all three projects in 2016, with Wittich Hall and the Eagle Recreation Center to be completed by 2017.  The new residence hall is planned to be completed by 2018.  No state tax money will be used for the projects.  

Wittich Hall, which was built in 1916, will become the College of Business Administration's new home.  The Eagle Recreation Center will get new locker rooms, new workout space, and more space for classes.
