Friday, Governor Walker made a stop at Midwest Manufacturing in Eau Claire where he said he will continue the fight to uphold the state's ban after a federal appeals court in Chicago declared it unconstitutional Thursday.
It's a fight the Governor said he and Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen will take all the way to the Supreme Court, if necessary.
"Until the US Supreme Court either chooses not to take it up or were to rule that the law here and elsewhere is unconstitutional, we are still obligated to support the constitution as it was amended by the voters,” Walker said.
Wisconsin's Attorney General said he plans to appeal the decision.
The stay blocking same-sex marriages remains in effect until all appeals have been concluded.
